There is a lighthouse right next to the George Washington Bridge. I never knew it was there. Apparently there is a popular children's book about it. I've been told that you can see it from the Henry Hudson if you are on a bus, you have to be high enough to see over the wall. A big SUV will also give you a view.
I googled it and found out you can go to the lighthouse and even go inside it. It is on my list of things to do for 2009.
